Flicker from fluorescent light tubes is well documented, however, did you know low quality LED products also produce flicker? It’s rarely mentioned as the goal for many customers is to lower electricity consumption. The State of California has introduced a certification (CAJA10 tested) to notify customers of the issue.

Symptoms of Flicker include the following:
Migraines, headaches, fatigue, blurred vision, eye strain.
Neurological problems, Flicker vertigo, including epileptic seizures, increased autistic behaviors, especially in children.
The stroboscopic effect can appear as slowing or stopping of motion in equipment and cause serious injury

A very simple way to test for flicker is to set your Smartphone camera to slow-motion and see if flicker is present. (No need to record)
